While head lice are common in young children, adults are still susceptible to catching them. Dirty hair does not attract them; they are simple passed on via head-to-head contact. Lice can be difficult to spot, as they only grow up to 3mm long and they are dark brown in colour. But trails of their eggs or an itchy head can be a good indication they are present.
The best way to do this is to comb hair with a detection comb – a special fine-toothed comb. Firstly wash the hair with vinegar put a plastic on and leave on for 15-220 min.Rinse the hair than put on hair color because the chemical in the dye kill the eggs of the lice. After using hair color on the hair wash again with vinegar before using shampoo and conditioner

West Rand Study Centre Roodekrans Campus 1 made the decision to have a fundraising event…. and what an event it was!
Staff worked together like a well oiled machine doing purchases, prepping and even manning the braai while others kept an eye on all our little rugrats who were either jumping on the trampoline, playing soccer in the soccer court or playing one of many games.
As parents arrived to collect their children the aroma coming from the braai drew them in, and orders were placed for dinner to be taken home and enjoyed.
Fun was had by all and once our children were collected by their parents a group of exhausted tutors cleaned up and headed home to enjoy a well deserved long weekend.
